Creative Director, Actor, Instructor
Catherine (Cat) Lough Haggquist is an actor, educator, and creative industry advocate with nearly 160 professional film and television credits. She’s best known for her role as General Petra Bellweather on Motherland: Fort Salem (Disney+), and has also appeared in Tracker, Fire Country, Continuum, and dozens of other film and TV projects.
Cat is the owner and Creative Director of The Drama Class, where she develops actor-focused classes and workshops grounded in her 4Cs framework: Creativity, Craft, Commerce, and Communication. She is a certified instructor of the Streamlining Line Learning Technique, a method she credits as a transformative part of her own preparation and performance process.
In addition to her work on screen and in the classroom, Cat founded BizBooks.net, a curated resource for film, television, and theatre professionals. She also serves on the board of the Writers Collective of Canada, where she facilitates community writing workshops that support authentic voice development in creative spaces.
A longtime advocate for performers, Cat has served in executive leadership with the Union of BC Performers and ACTRA and has been recognized with multiple industry honours, including a UBCP/ACTRA Life Membership and the Lorena Gale Woman of Distinction Award.
